At Om Shanthi Theertham, we deeply appreciate your support and are committed to using donations responsibly to advance our mission of promoting peace, community welfare, and spiritual well-being. As a registered Australian charity, donations are generally non-refundable to ensure funds are available for our programs. However, we may consider refunds in limited circumstances as outlined below.
Refunds are at our sole discretion and may be approved for:
Donor Errors: If you made an error (e.g., incorrect amount) – requests must be within 30 days of the donation date.
Our Errors: If we processed the donation incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charge) – requests must be within 90 days.
Fraudulent Transactions: If your payment details were used without authorization.
Exceptional Circumstances: Such as proven donor vulnerability or hardship, subject to review.
We do not provide refunds for:
Change of mind or regret after a voluntary donation.
Requests made more than 90 days after the donation.
Donations where funds have already been allocated to programs.
For recurring donations, we may refund the most recent payment if it aligns with the above criteria. If a refund is issued, any associated tax receipt becomes invalid and must be destroyed – it cannot be claimed with the ATO.

Include: Your full name, Supporter ID or receipt number (if known), donation date, amount, payment method, and reason for the request. Provide evidence (e.g., bank statement) if applicable.
We will review and respond within 7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method, minus any transaction fees we incur.
Refunds may take up to 5-10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
